Devell R. Young, M.D.

Dr. Devell Young is a board-certified Internist from Natchez, Mississippi. He attended Morehouse College on academic scholarship graduating magna cum laude. He later matriculated at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, receiving his medical degree with distinction. While at Brown, he met his wife, Loretta Jefferies of Providence, Rhode Island. They began their life in Houston, Texas where Dr. Young did a three-year residency in General Internal Medicine. Dr. Young is fully engaged with his community, lecturing at churches, social events and as a radio host participant. He enjoys exploring all things African, including art, instruments, history and culture. He has successfully written a genealogy of the Young family. Dr. Young is the father of five children and grandfather of three grandchildren. His motto is, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Dr. Young was one of the Founding Members of Medical Associates of Albany, P.C . He has been with the practice since July 1996.
