Dr. Michael Satchell a native of Kingston, Jamaica, became a US citizen at age 18, served 6 years in the Air Force and worked for 2 years as a ICU nurse in Macon, GA before attending Medical School at the Medical College of GA in Augusta. Dr. Satchell was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship at the Medical College and received the Dean’s Student Research Fellow Certificate. He completed his internship and residency at the Southwest GA residency program at Phoebe Putney Hospital and was selected chief resident. After completing residency, he served the Albany Community as a solo practitioner before joining Medical Associates of Albany.

He is currently the Medical Director for Pruitt and Wynfield nursing homes and also serves as Medical Director for Affinis hospice, Amicita Home Health, and Next step Source program.

He is married to Deborah and has two children: Michaela and Donovan.

Dr. Satchell joined Medical Associates of Albany, P.C. in October 2012.
